- Instant quote: unprotected text-layer PDF legal documents, DOCX (.docx), TXT (.txt), Markdown (.md), validated DOC (.doc), validated HWP v5 (.hwp), and validated HWPX (.hwpx) files that pass byte-level safety checks and complete deterministic extraction without OCR. Protected, corrupt, unsafe, timed-out, incomplete, low-confidence, ODT, and RTF files require replacement or a custom quote; originals remain available. Page count never prices translation; only PDF has the 1–150-page extraction-safety check, and missing page metadata alone never rejects DOC, HWP v5, or HWPX.

How counting works
When you upload eligible text-layer PDF, DOCX, TXT, or MD files, the platform counts source text without OCR. Scanned PDFs, partially scanned PDFs, images, chat, message, email, spreadsheet, pasted-text, low-quality, redaction, chronology, evidence-table, and custom-layout materials require a custom quote.
